Life Coaching

Life coaching helps you design and live your best life.

Together we will examine your story, uncovering your own truth from the depth of your own experiences and feelings.

We will uncover and remove the blocks that have limited you. You'll learn to make choices that keep turning you towards your best life. You'll become more aware of the consequences of your actions.

Through life coaching you'll learn to allow and invite joy into your life every day.

Who can benefit from life coaching?

I work with people who seek deeper meaning and fulfillment in their lives, but feel blocked or stuck in some area.

I can help you deal with the tough issues, especially those that women tend to face around mid-life – transition, divorce, empty nesting, personal growth and transformation, dealing with problematic relationships, communication issues, control issues and caretaking overwhelm.

You will learn techniques to approach challenges with a fresh perspective. You'll explore and experience strength, growth, courage and empowerment.

What does a life coach do?

The North Star approach to life coaching provides more exercises and tools and insights than any one client will ever need to set their course, create their Wildly Improbable Goals (“WIGS”), design a strategy and begin achieving their goals.

Finding Your North Star is a tremendous introduction to the process. If you really want it to work for you, having a qualified North Star Coach customize and walk you through the process of getting in touch with your essential self is very rewarding.

As Martha says, “your physical body is actually closer to knowing your true path than your mind may be. Moreover, whatever your career or relationship future, your body's going there with you, and will be central to whatever you experience.”

A North Star coach notices and focuses with you on how your body reacts  to issues, helping you read your internal compass. This can be more telling than when you are reading a book and choosing when to go deep or when to slide down the rabbit hole of avoidance.

Our sessions will vary. We begin by having a casual interactive dialog, you set the focus.

Through intuitive listening I might suggest we begin with some guided journaling. I will help you recognize and overcome the habit of negative self talk. We’ll explore changing thoughts or beliefs to a different, possibly truer point of view.

At some point I will take you on an inward journey resetting your internal compass, teaching you ways to reinforce and practice using your intuition.  I may give you an assignment to work on between sessions reinforcing a tool or bringing an issue out into a different light.

The more determined you are to connect with your essential self and uncover what direction you really want your life to take the more effective this process will be.

How many sessions will I need?

“May you discover the true purpose of your existence and pursue that purpose with vigor, grace and a very good sense of humor.”
– Isaac David Garuda

Life coaching is a relatively new concept and there are many types of life coaches. The North Star method asserts that we all have our “true path” from birth, it just gets covered up by life’s conditioning.

A bright star shines on the ocean at evening

The North Star is known as Stella Polaris and is situated close to the North Pole of the heavens.  Because of its location, the North Star doesn’t appear to move around in the sky as the other stars do; it is a “fixed point” that can always be used to figure out which way you’re headed.  Explorers and mariners can depend on Polaris when there are no other landmarks in sight. A knowledge of that perfect life sits inside you just as the North Star sits in its unalterable spot.
